"The Railway Children"은 에디스 네스빗(E. Nesbit)이 1906년 발표한 소설이다. 아버지가 알 수 없는 이유로 투옥된 이후 세 남매가 기차길 옆에 있는 작은 집으로 이사를 하게 되면서 구김살 없이 새로운 환경에 적응하며 삶이 변화하고 성장하는 이야기를 다룬다.
